INSPECTION & TESTING

ELECTRICAL PERIODIC INSPECTION & TESTING
STEVE ZATCHIJ ELECTRICAL offers periodic inspection and testing services for all your electrical equipment. Why? Because statistics show that most accidents, of whatever nature, occur in the home. To help guard against accidents from electrical faults, and bearing in mind that the most common cause of a fire breaking out is due to faulty electrical wiring, it soon becomes apparent that an inspection and test is of value and importance. Also, in the office, bear in mind that employers are bound under section SI 1989 No 635 of The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (Regulation 4 & Memorandum) to ensure the safety of all employees at all times.

LANDLORDS - HEALTH & SAFETY REGULATIONS
"Any landlord who lets a property which is not his/her residence or lets more than one property is likely to be regarded as acting "in the course of business" and, if so, will be obliged to implement the regulations. The maximum penalty for non compliance is six months imprisonment and/or a £5,000 fine."

CERTIFICATION
The value of certification should not be underestimated. Such documentation provides written evidence as to the electrical integrity of an installation and can be a useful aid for insuring, selling, purchasing, re-mortgaging or even letting a property. Our certificates are in printed form, complete with a no obligation quotation for any corrective works deemed necessary by the inspection, if applicable. The test itself is a full visual and metered test, which can take several hours, according to the size of the property.

SERVICE PRICES
Prices for our domestic periodic inspection and testing services start from an affordable £119.50 + VAT for an eight-roomed property or less, located within a 20 mile radius of Bath. For guidance, add an additional £13.25 + VAT per room where the property consists of more than eight rooms. Hallway and landing areas need not be counted as rooms. However, utility rooms, conservatories, garages and sheds do qualify as "rooms" if an electrical circuit is present.

Please Note: the above prices are a guideline for standard domestic installations only (as at: 1st January 2008). Additional charges will apply for installations having more than one distribution board, or poor access to electrical outlets or having other non-standard features, including anything that we deem to be hazardous. Commercial installations are subject to a site survey prior to the provision of a fixed quotation.
